Maria Howlader is the Founder of Howlader Maria & Co., Chartered Accountants and brought with her over 15 years of experience and knowledge in financial reporting, accounting, corporate practice, corporate tax, financial management system, business strategy & planning, internal and external audit etc. She started her practice in 2008 especially in audit and advisory services with EY Bangladesh (A.Qasem & Co., Chartered Accountants) and continued there until mid of 2017 as a partner. During her tenure in that firm she led many assurance and advisory assignments of multinational companies, international donor agencies, banking and non-banking financial institutions etc.

She started her career in Hoda Vasi Chowdhury & Co.(Former Independent correspondent firm of Deloitte) in 2003 and obtained experience in corporate tax planning and tax practice there.

Maria obtained the prestigious professional degree chartered accountancy in 2008 and became a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) in 2013.
